Privacy Policy
Counted is a local-first app with no accounts and no external server dependency. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
1. Data collection
Counted does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers.
Counted does not require an account, and it does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.
2. Local storage
All data in Counted, including names, relationships, visit history, memories, and photos, is stored locally on your device.
3. Analytics and tracking
Counted does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies to monitor user behavior.
4. Notifications
Notifications in Counted are scheduled locally on your device. No remote servers are used to send reminders.
5. Backups and data control
You can export your data at any time using Counted's backup tools. Exported backup files are encrypted with a passphrase that you choose.
You can also delete your data by removing the app and its local files from your device.
Because Counted does not operate a user account system or cloud database, the developer cannot access, recover, or remotely delete your personal app data for you.
6. Data loss
Deleting the app will remove locally stored data unless you export a backup first.
7. Photos and device permissions
If you choose to attach a photo to a person or memory, Counted may request access to your camera or photo library on your device.
These permissions are used only to let you select or capture photos for your own local records. Counted does not upload those photos to a remote server.
8. Future purchases
If premium features are offered in the future, purchases will be processed through the platform's official purchase system. Counted does not store or access payment information.
9. Calculation disclaimer
Counted includes estimated calculations based on general statistical models and assumptions, including approximate remaining visits and life-expectancy context.
These calculations are not predictions of actual lifespan or real-world outcomes. Individual circumstances vary widely and cannot be accounted for. The app is intended for reflective and informational purposes only.
